It's that time of year again where we look forward to our upcoming summer holidays, and start prepping for our adventures!
If you're like me, planning getaways for the summer but still haven't booked anything then you've come to the right place.
I've rounded up some of my favourite travel websites for those last minute trips!
I'm currently planning on a beach holiday and city break and these sites have been lifesavers as I've been able to find some amazing deals.
You ready for this?
1. Holiday Pirates
Began as a blog in 2011 (Urlaubspiraten.de) by a student named Igori who then founded the company 'Holiday Pirates' in 2012. Today, Urlaubspiraten.de (german translation for Holiday Pirates) is among Germany's largest travel portals.
What do they offer?
Travelers can find inspiration for their next holiday at reasonable prices. Find anything from bargain hotels, flights and package trips. You've gotta go all inclusive!
As well as that, Holiday Pirates have published a travel magazine which covers everything from tips for a day trip to London to having your own travel pharmacy checklist.
With Groupon, buy anything, anytime, anywhere. Groupon offers consumers a vast marketplace of unbeatable deals all over the world. Groupon Getaways are great for booking last minute city breaks or vacations.
I'm currently obsessed with Groupon as I can literally find ANYTHING I want. From home furnishings to electrical goods, they deliver the whole package and when booking holidays you're more than likely able to purchase travel goods too.
Oh not to forget, you can even find incredible deals in your location for pedicures and manicures just before you jet off, ladies.
Travelzoo recommend the best deals from the best companies.
They have integrated a Test Booking Centre feature on their website which ensures that deals published are accurate, available and easy to book, resulting in a fun and enjoyable travel experience.
The best thing on the website for me was having the option to actually browse Singles Travel deals as I am currently planning a getaway on my 'ones.'
4. On The Beach
On The Beach is one of UK's online retailers of beach holidays. So you can trust these guys to know all about having fun in the sun! (cheesy, but oh well).
With an ATOL Protected system, you can be rest assured that flight, hotel and transfers when booked together are all financially protected. The only thing about OTB is that they don't sell package holidays but are more focused on allowing the consumer to build their own holiday and perfect getaway. Your own personalized holiday, definitely doesn't sound like a bad idea!
Get everything you want from a holiday, without paying for the bits you don't.
5. Ice Lolly
Ice Lolly is a holiday comparison site which searches and compares great deals on package holidays.
It compares deals from a wide range of holiday providers.
Their holiday blog is a good addition to their website as it offers information on destination holidays, the best cruises, and the best places to travel to for the summer. So if you're stuck on holiday ideas or if you just need some guidelines for your chosen destination then the Ice Lolly blog is a must read.
Hope this post has been helpful. Let me know if you've used any of the websites before! :)
Until next time,
