It's finally time to go on that well deserved holiday we've been looking forward to since the start of the year. I've realised that July is like the holiday month! Everyone seems to disappear which means that planning events around this time is an absolute no, no.
Today's post features some of my favourite travel must-haves which are ideal for a week in the sun. I've selected each item (minus the book) from Topshop's holiday shop as I feel that the British retailer caters for every type of occasion whether it be a beach holiday or just a city break.
So let's get packing!
The perfect swing dress for a day at the beach or cocktails in the evening. With an off-shoulder cut, bardot dresses are the go-to choice if you are looking to rock a hot on-trend look. Style with a pair of summer's perfect sandals, gladiators, that will pretty much work well with any outfit while you're on your tropical getaway. Am I the only one who hates packing a ton of shoes when travelling? I think 2 pairs are fine, especially if you're spending most of your time on the beach!
Kaftans and bikinis are probably one of the first items we shop for before travelling. I don't know about you ladies, but I make a fuss about finding the perfect bikini. I usually pack about 2 different styles to switch it up, it can be boring wearing one bikini for the duration of my trip. Bikini tops are also great to style with a pair of washed indigo denim shorts. Kaftans are the essential holiday must-pack, again perfect for covering up in the sun but also cute enough for a few drinks after sunset.
Think '70's Boho' with a lace crotchet top that adds instant interest. Stay bohemian cool in a fringed tank top that is just as effortlessly stylish and this season's must-have crop.
A jumpsuit is the perfect going out piece while on holiday and can be dressed up or down with some canvas trainers and heels. It's also a festival fave so get stylin' with a lace floppy hat and some killer shades.
My favourite part! You need a good book or magazine to keep you occupied whilst you enjoy the sun
, a handbag-friendly sun cream and the cutest clutch bag that will just about fit all the essentials.
I'm probably missing out one or two bits and bobs but these are just some of my top picks! What's in YOUR travel kit?
For those of you travelling soon, I hope this post has helped in some way!
