As seen on the catwalk....
Here's some of the hottest trends to be seen in the new season! After analysing the catwalk looks, I am totally looking forward to giving my wardrobe a total revamp.
Designers such as House of Holland, Saint Laurent and Tommy Hilfiger looked to the 1970s for its collections with retro flower inspired prints on blouses, flowing halter neck dresses, flared trousers, and clashing florals. Shades of red, orange and yellow were used throughout the collection to create a hippie chic vibe.
A new stamp has been placed on denim. Burberry and Stella McCartney have showed us new ways of wearing our denim. This season think cropped indigo mini jackets, statement separates, slick and even slick tailoring. Could denim even become office appropriate? Trend pieces also include statement jeans and denim tunics.
Elongated Silhouettes mean hemlines become longer, skirts become voluminous and we welcome back full flare trousers. Pair with slim tunic tops to keep the look under control. THIS is the silhouette of the season, ladies.
Sportswear has been one of the biggest trends, so far, of S/S 15. Mesh has been the most prevalent fabric across collections such as 3.1 Philip Lim, Milly and Alexander Wang.
Look out for full leather ensembles and coloured leather separates just like Prabal Gurung and Louis Vuitton has shown us. UNBELIEVABLY SASSY.
Gladiator sandals come slightly wedged and as cage sandals in the new season. These are the ultimate must haves for that perfect holiday in the sun.
White will always be a staple shade for Spring Summer and for this year we see delicate chiffon whisps from Prabal Gurung, and floor length tshirt dresses from Alexander Wang. How will you style whites next season?
Until next time,
